Nisce highlights LGBT’s role in society

Vice Gov. Aureo Q. Nisce of La Union emphasized the importance of lesbians, gay, bisexuals and transgender (LGBT) during the Grandiosa Night, January 2, 2018 at Bauang Civic Center as the guest of honor speaker.

“During our times, LGBTs were in hiding. But today, the LGBTs play a very significant role in our society and they are now accepted,” he said.

Grandiosa Night was star studded with the presence of ten participants coming from the different parts of the country. They presented their various talents which captured the hearts of the eleven jurors and they gained the heartwarming applause of the audience.

Through a unanimous decision of the judges, the ALAB Poi Dancers from Manila who presented a LED (Light Emitting Diode), Poi Dance emerged as the champion.

Tailing next to them is Macky A. Profeta, “D’ Spinner” who displayed his optical art illusions and yoyo exhibition, struck the hearts of the jurors with his expertise and different techniques in playing the yoyo. The second runner up went to Junior FMD Extreme from Nangka, Marikina who performed a hip hop dance.

Mayor Eulogio Clarence Martin P. de Guzman III introduced Vice Governor. Other local leaders who graced the occasion included Sangguniang Panlalawigan Member Anabelle S. De Guzman, Vice Mayor Bonifacio Malinao, SBM Danilo Abuan, SBM Warlito Daus who were all of good praises because of the talents displayed by the contestants.
