To create a positive development in communities, young children must be provided with quality education in a healthy and enabling environment.

With this noble purpose, 84 participants coming from Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bauang Fruit Basket with the Bawanta Elementary School, Naval Forces Northern Luzon, Citizen Crime Watch (CCW), Malvar Squad Task Force, Bauang Chapter, CIASI Bauang Chapter, Sts. Peter and Paul Parish Youth Ministry, Dep-Ed La Union Schools Division Office and Dep-Ed Bauang Supreme Student Government, and Bawanta Barangay Council joined in “Walk for Bawanta WinS” spearheaded by JCI. They walked from Bawanta Elementary School to Cabisilan, Dili Barangay Hall, NGCP, Pottot then back to the school comprising 6.7 kilometers walk.
JCI was able to raise an amount of PHP 4,200 that will go to Bawanta Elementary School’s Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in Schools (WINS) program.

WINS is a Dep-Ed initiated project which aims to promote proper hygiene and best sanitation practices in schools nationwide.
