Mayor Eulogio Clarence Martin P. De Guzman III welcomes the 9 Pyeongchang delegations from Gangwon, Republic of Korea through a simple dinner at White House Beach Resort, Paringao, Bauang, La Union.
Their visit was part of the friendship relationship between Bauang LGU and Taebaek City, Gangwon , Republic Korea which started last 2013.
The Korean delegations include Kim Gi-Tae – International Exchange Ambassador of Pyeongchang County, Choi Sun-Jin – Chairman of Pyeongchang Music Association, Lee Kyung-Yun, Planning Director of Pyeongchang Music Association, Gim Yeong-Gu, Chairman of Pyeongchang Trout Festival, Choi Ki-Sung, Experience Director, Pyeongchang Trout Festival, Kim Jin-Hwan, Lim Jong-Seok – officers of Pyeongchang Trout Festival, Kim Yong, Inspector of Pyeongchang Trout Festival.
“Bauang will always be your second home away from home. We are very happy to welcome you here in Bauang. We appreciate very much the warm hospitality you extended to us whenever we visited your city. Please extend our heartfelt thanks to your mayor,” the mayor expressed.
Choi Sun-Jin in his message expressed to Bauang LGU especially to the mayor his thanks and appreciation for the nice accommodation and warm friendship.
Dr. Peter Nang, President of Bauang Tourism Council (BTC) with the other officers had the signing of friendship relations with Pyeongchang Music Association to further closer ties in the field of tourism, music, culture and arts and education at Rose bowl Steak House Restaurant, Pagdalagan Sur, Bauang, La Union.
The Korean delegates visited Don Eulogio de Guzman Memorial National High School. They donated 30 recorders (flute) aside from teaching the Special Program in the Arts major in instruments students how to play the recorder. The school entertained them with their cultural dances and music.
The mayor toured the Korean delegates at Thunderbird Resort. They visited La Union Provincial Capitol, the Sanggunian Panlalawigan Building and at La Union Agri-Tourism Village located at Capitol Hill
